View AllThis premium private full-day Citadel & History Buff Tour is specially designed for guests arriving at Noi Bai International Airport from Tuesday to Sunday. Your dedicated guide and private vehicle will meet you at the airport and head straight to the Ho Chi Minh Complex first (as it closes early in the day), followed by an in-depth exploration of Hanoi’s most significant historical and cultural sites.
Airport Pickup: Between 06:30 – 08:30 AM at Noi Bai International Airport (flexible according to your flight arrival). Our representative will wait with a name sign in the arrival hall.
09:00 – 10:30: Visit the Ho Chi Minh Complex. Pay respects at the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum and explore the iconic One Pillar Pagoda, the humble stilt houses where Ho Chi Minh lived and worked, and the peaceful gardens.
10:45 – 12:00: Continue to the Imperial Citadel of Thang Long, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Walk through ancient archaeological ruins, royal palaces, and military structures spanning over a thousand years of Vietnamese history.
12:15 – 13:15: Enjoy a delicious Vietnamese lunch at a carefully selected local restaurant.
13:45 – 15:00: Explore the Vietnam Fine Arts Museum, home to an outstanding collection of Vietnamese art from ancient times to the modern era, including sculptures, lacquer works, and paintings.
15:15 – 16:15: Visit Temple of Literature (Van Mieu – Quoc Tu Giam), Vietnam’s first national university founded in 1070. Stroll through its serene courtyards and ancient pavilions.
16:30 – 17:30: Tour Hoa Lo Prison, a powerful historical site originally built by the French and later used during the Vietnam War, known as the “Hanoi Hilton”.
17:45 – 18:45: Enjoy a relaxing evening stroll around Hoan Kiem Lake, the spiritual heart of Hanoi, and visit Ngoc Son Temple on the island.
19:00 – 20:30: Savor a delightful Vietnamese dinner at a well-chosen local restaurant, featuring a variety of traditional dishes and specialties.
Private drop-off: Between 21:30 – 22:00 PM directly at your hotel in Hanoi (hotel booked by you). Tour concludes.

This Private Full Day Citadel & History Buff Tour with airport pickup is available only from Tuesday to Sunday (closed on Mondays and Fridays for Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum).
The itinerary starts with Ho Chi Minh Complex due to its early closing time.
The itinerary is flexible and can be adjusted based on your exact flight arrival time.
Children Policy: Child 5–11 years old = 75% of adult rate. Child under 5 years old = Free of charge (FOC, sharing seat and meals with parents). Children taller than 1 meter will pay full entrance fees where applicable.
All sites in this tour are open on the operating days.
The tour is suitable for all ages with moderate walking involved.
