After breakfast at your hotel, transfer to the airport for your flight to Siem Reap, arriving around noon. At Siem Reap International Airport, your tour guide and driver will warmly welcome you and transfer you to Siem Reap City to begin your tour of the Angkor Complex.

Visit Angkor Thom, a 10-square-km fortified city enclosed by a wall and wide moats, featuring many of Angkor’s most popular attractions. Enter through the impressive South Gate, crossing a causeway lined with statues of demons and gods carrying a giant naga. Explore the Terrace of the Elephants and Terrace of the Leper Kings, former public ceremony spaces adorned with dramatic bas-reliefs. Continue to the ruined Baphuon, Royal Enclosure, and Phimeanakas, then visit the mysterious Bayon Temple, renowned for its beautifully preserved bas-reliefs and central sanctuary with giant stone faces of Avalokitesvara smiling enigmatically.

Angkor Wat

Between 8:15 AM and 8:30 AM, after breakfast at your hotel in Siem Reap, begin a full-day tour of the Angkor temples.

Start at Angkor Wat, the crowning jewel of Khmer architecture and Cambodia’s national symbol, renowned as the largest, best-preserved, and most religiously significant temple in Angkor. Cross a vast moat and walk along a broad causeway lined with naga balustrades, ascending through galleries and courtyards to the central sanctuary for stunning views over the causeway and countryside. Admire 1,700 Apsara carvings and the world’s longest continuous bas-relief in the outer gallery, depicting Hindu mythology, including the Churning of the Ocean of Milk.

Next, visit Ta Prohm, a popular attraction with a mystical atmosphere, largely untouched by the jungle, resembling its state when European explorers first discovered it.

Continue to Banteay Srei Temple, a miniature jewel of classical Khmer art, built with pink sandstone and featuring exquisitely preserved carvings of unusual delicacy, a favorite for its fairy-like atmosphere.
