    Introduction

    Welcome to an unforgettable journey through Vietnam and Cambodia! This tour package will take you through some of the most fascinating and beautiful destinations in Southeast Asia.

    Starting off in Ho Chi Minh City (HCMC), also known as Saigon, you'll head south towards the Mekong Delta, where you'll experience the rustic charm of My Tho and Ben Tre before arriving in the bustling city of Can Tho. You'll get to explore local markets, enjoy traditional dishes, and take in the breathtaking scenery along the way.

    Moving on to Chau Doc, you'll visit the picturesque Tra Su Sanctuary and immerse yourself in the natural beauty of the area. From there, you'll cross the border into Cambodia and arrive in the vibrant city of Phnom Penh, where you'll learn about its fascinating past and experience its lively present.

    Next, you'll travel to the world-renowned temples of Angkor in Siem Reap, where you'll witness the majesty of ancient Khmer architecture and explore the rich cultural heritage of the area.

    Between 8:00 AM and 8:30 AM, after breakfast at your hotel in Ho Chi Minh City, you’ll be picked up for a scenic journey along the National Highway, surrounded by green rice fields. Arrive in My Tho and visit Vinh Trang Pagoda, followed by a leisurely boat ride along the river, viewing stilt houses, fruit plantations, and fishing villages along the riverbank. Proceed to Tortoise Islet for lunch in an orchard garden.

    Next, take a boat ride to An Khanh, a less touristy area in Ben Tre, and enjoy cruising on a hand-rowed sampan under the shade of water coconut trees along natural canals. Savor seasonal fruit and honey tea while listening to Southern Vietnamese folk music performed by locals. Visit a family business showcasing the idyllic rural lifestyle, taste delicious coconut candy, and explore fruit plantations and villages.

    Continue to Can Tho and check in at your hotel for an overnight stay. Alternatively, a family homestay with dinnercan be arranged upon request. During free time in Can Tho, visit the bustling Can Tho market.

    Between 8:15 AM and 8:30 AM, after breakfast at your hotel in Can Tho, embark on a leisurely boat trip to explore the picturesque tributaries of the Lower Mekong River (Bassac River). Visit the Cai Rang Floating Market, one of the liveliest markets in the region (Phong Dien is optional). Observe the preparation of Vietnamese vermicelli soup and taste this local delicacy.

    Next, stroll through a village, meet friendly local people, and experience crossing a Monkey Bridge, constructed from a single bamboo stem. Visit an orchard garden and stop for lunch.

    Continue to Chau Doc and visit Tra Su, exploring the Wild Birds Sanctuary via small boats cruising through splendid canals deep in the forest, where you can observe storks, cranes, and other tropical birds. On the return, stop at Sam Mountain and the Cave Pagoda if time permits.

    Return to Chau Doc, check into your hotel, and arrive between 4:30 PM and 5:30 PM.

    At 7:00 AM, after breakfast at your hotel in Chau Doc, prepare for a transfer to Chau Doc harbor to board an express boat to Phnom Penh, Cambodia. Our team will pick you up at the Song Tien/Vinh Xuong land border (Vietnam side) and Phnom Penh border (Cambodia side), assisting with the immigration process before escorting you to the harbor.

    The express boat journey, lasting approximately 5 hours, will arrive in Phnom Penh between 12:30 PM and 1:00 PM. Upon arrival, our team will transfer you to your hotel for check-in.

    Spend the rest of the day exploring Phnom Penh at your leisure. Stroll through vibrant streets, visit local markets, or savor authentic Cambodian cuisine.

    Day 4Phnom Penh’s Past & Present (B)

    Between 8:15 AM and 8:30 AM, after breakfast at your hotel in Phnom Penh, begin your city tour with a visit to the Royal Palace compound, built in 1866 by King Norodom’s predecessors, showcasing colorful Khmer-style architecture and the city’s most prominent landmark. Adjacent is the Silver Pagoda, also known as the Emerald Buddha Temple, displaying Buddha statues adorned with diamonds, emeralds, gold, and silver.

    Next, visit the National Museum, a distinctive red building with Khmer architecture built in 1917, housing over 5,000 art objects made of sandstone, bronze, silver, copper, wood, and other materials. Continue to the Independence Monument, constructed in 1954 to commemorate Cambodia’s independence from French colonial rule.

    At noon, explore Phsar Thmey (Central Market), a 1937 dome-shaped building with four branching arms, offering countless stalls selling gold, silver, antique coins, books, flowers, fabrics, shoes, souvenirs, seafood, and more.

    Proceed to Wat Phnom (Mountain Pagoda), a Buddhist temple on a hill, symbolizing Phnom Penh’s name. Built in 1372 to house four Buddha statues discovered by Lady Penh in the Mekong River, it’s a popular spot for locals to pray for good luck, play, and enjoy a stunning sunset.

    In the late afternoon, embark on a sunset cruise on the Mekong River, viewing the Royal Palace as the river branches into four streams. Return to your hotel between 4:30 PM and 5:00 PM.

    Day 5Phnom Penh to Siem Reap by Bus (B)

    After breakfast at your hotel in Phnom Penh, you’ll be picked up by the bus company and travel by shuttle bus to Siem Reap. Upon arrival at Siem Reap bus station, our guide will meet you and transfer you to your hotel for check-in.

    Later in the day, enjoy a boat ride on Tonle Sap Lake, Southeast Asia’s largest permanent freshwater lake, which flows into the Tonle Sap River and joins the Mekong in Phnom Penh. Explore a floating village of fishermen, featuring floating schools, a floating police station, and other facilities, a unique community that moves with water levels and currents.

    After the boat ride, return to your hotel in Siem Reap.

    Between 8:15 AM and 8:30 AM, after breakfast at your hotel in Siem Reap, depart for Angkor Thom, a magnificent architectural masterpiece built by King Jayavarman VII as a fortress at the heart of his empire following the Cham occupation from 1177 to 1181.

    Begin at Bayon Temple, located at the center of Angkor Thom, showcasing the creative genius and inflated ego of Cambodia’s celebrated king. Stop for photos at the Terrace of the Leper King, a unique stone terrace in the Royal Square of Angkor Thom. Next, visit the Terrace of Elephants, used by the king for parades, performances, and traditional sports, and explore Baphuon, one of Angkor’s most beautiful temples, built in the 11th century during Uditayavarman I’s reign.

    Continue to Ta Prohm, a picturesque temple nearly overtaken by the jungle, with magnificent tree roots entwined around huge stone blocks, creating an exotic and haunting scene.

    Finally, visit Angkor Wat, the world’s largest religious building, a perfect blend of symbolism and symmetry, and a source of pride and strength for all Khmers.

    Return to your hotel in Siem Reap between 4:30 PM and 5:30 PM.

      • International Airfare and Airport Tax In/Out Cambodia/Vietnam: Flights to and from Cambodia (e.g., Phnom Penh or Siem Reap) and Vietnam (e.g., Can Tho or Chau Doc) and any associated airport taxes are not covered.

      • Pre and Post Tour Accommodation: Accommodation before or after the tour is not included.

      • Beverages and Other Meals: Any meals or beverages not specified in the tour program (e.g., 6 breakfasts) are excluded.

      • Visa Fees to Cambodia/Vietnam: Visa fees for Cambodia and Vietnam, if applicable, are the responsibility of the traveler. For Cambodia, most visitors can obtain a tourist visa on arrival or an e-visa for USD 30 (approximately INR 2,498) plus a USD 6 processing fee, valid for a 30-day single-entry stay; an e-Arrival Card must be completed online within 7 days prior to arrival at no charge. For Vietnam, visa requirements vary by nationality, with some eligible for visa exemptions (e.g., 15-45 days for certain countries) or e-visas (USD 25 for single entry); travelers should verify requirements with the respective embassies.
