Start at Tran Quoc Pagoda, located on Golden Fish Island in West Lake, the oldest pagoda in Hanoi, built in the 6th century. Admire its stunning architecture and learn about its historical and cultural significance.

Next, visit the Ho Chi Minh Complex, where you can view Ho Chi Minh’s embalmed body, stroll through the garden, and see the two houses where he lived and worked from 1954 to 1969. Explore the One Pillar Pagoda, dedicated to the Goddess of Mercy, renowned as the world’s most unique pagoda. Note: If your tour falls on a Monday or Friday, Ho Chi Minh’s Mausoleum is closed, and an alternative itinerary will be arranged.

Continue to the Vietnam Ethnology Museum to explore the culture of Vietnam’s 54 ethnic groups. If the tour is on a Monday, when the museum is closed, visit the Women’s Museum instead.

Enjoy a delicious lunch at a local restaurant, savoring some of the best Vietnamese cuisine.

In the afternoon, visit the Temple of Literature, Vietnam’s first university, established in the 11th century, offering insights into ancient Vietnamese education. Start at Angkor Wat, the crowning jewel of Khmer architecture and Cambodia’s national symbol, renowned as the largest, best-preserved, and most religiously significant temple in Angkor. Cross a vast moat and walk along a broad causeway lined with naga balustrades, ascending through galleries and courtyards to the central sanctuary for stunning views over the causeway and countryside. Admire 1,700 Apsara carvings and the world’s longest continuous bas-relief in the outer gallery, depicting Hindu mythology, including the Churning of the Ocean of Milk.

Next, visit Ta Prohm, a popular attraction with a mystical atmosphere, largely untouched by the jungle, resembling its state when European explorers first discovered it.

Continue to Banteay Srei Temple, a miniature jewel of classical Khmer art, built with pink sandstone and featuring exquisitely preserved carvings of unusual delicacy, a favorite for its fairy-like atmosphere.

Explore Takeo, Thommanon, and Chau Say Tevoda, all beautiful temples in the area. Return to Ta Prohm, known for its mysterious allure, with jungle-overgrown ruins evoking its historical discovery.

Day 17Bangkok City Temple Tour & Royal Grand Palace & Emerald Buddha (B, L)

After breakfast at the hotel, you'll embark on a sightseeing tour of Bangkok between 8:15 AM and 8:30 AM to visit some of its most famous temples and landmarks.

Your first stop is Wat Traimit, also known as the Temple of the Golden Buddha. This temple is renowned for its solid gold Buddha statue, which is 900 years old and weighs five and a half tons.

Next, you'll visit Wat Arun, also known as the Temple of Dawn. This temple is one of Bangkok’s most iconic landmarks and is celebrated for its stunning architecture.

After that, you'll visit Wat Pho, the largest and oldest temple in Bangkok and the birthplace of traditional Thai massage. The temple houses the largest single Buddha statue, known as the Reclining Buddha (Phra Buddhasaiyas).

Lunch is on your own, after which you'll continue to explore Bangkok’s most famous attractions: the Royal Grand Palace and the Emerald Buddha. The Grand Palace, adjacent to Wat Phra Kaew, features European-inspired designs (except for the roof), which contrast with the traditional Thai style of Wat Phra Kaew.

After visiting the Grand Palace, you'll return to your hotel between 4:30 PM and 5:30 PM and have the rest of the day to relax and explore Bangkok at your own pace.

Explore a variety of seasonal fruits, such as rambutan, mangoes, and papaya.

Day 19Bangkok fly to Chiang Mai - Doi Suthep - Khantoke Dinner (B, D) (By flight)

After breakfast at the hotel, you’ll take a flight to northern Thailand, specifically to Chiang Mai. Upon arrival in Chiang Mai, you’ll meet your tour guide and transfer to your hotel.

Later in the day, we’ll take you to visit one of Chiang Mai’s most sacred temples: Wat Phra That Doi Suthep, located on a hilltop and built in the Northern Thai style. The temple houses a holy relic of Lord Buddha and offers a stunning panoramic view of the entire city.

After the temple visit, we’ll transfer you back to your hotel, where you’ll have free time to relax and explore on your own. In the evening, you’ll experience the famous Khantoke Dinner, also known as the northern welcome dinner, featuring traditional hill tribe dancing.

Day 20Mae Tang Elephant Camp and Adventure Tour (B, L)

Between 8:15 AM and 8:30 AM, after breakfast at your hotel in Chiang Mai, we’ll pick you up and travel north to the Mae Tang area, stopping briefly at the local market in Mae Malai. Proceed to a small riverside elephant camp, where elephants socialize with a few trekkers and roam to the river. Spend approximately 2 hours at the camp, participating in the elephants’ morning bath (bring a swimsuit), learning how to care for these gentle animals, and making traditional elephant medicine from natural ingredients and a natural elephant scrubber from forest vines.

Following the elephant camp, enjoy lunch, then embark on a trek through lush forest to a jungle waterfall, where you can shower under the cooling cascade. Trek to the rafting camp and board white water rafting boats for a 5km paddledown the Mae Tang River, featuring big rapids in the wet season. Afterward, transfer to waiting transportation and return to your hotel in Chiang Mai between 5:00 PM and 5:30 PM.

Between 8:00 AM and 8:15 AM, after breakfast at your hotel in Chiang Mai, transfer to the Mae Sai Border, one of Thailand’s largest border markets, located at the Thai-Myanmar border. Explore and purchase various products, including local foods, clothes, jewelry, silverware, and precious stones. Enjoy lunch at a local restaurant.

Continue to the Golden Triangle, where the borders of Laos, Myanmar, and Thailand converge, connected to Chinaby boat. Historically, this route was used by the Chinese to deliver opium to Siam before global distribution. Visit the nearby Opium House to learn about opium history, routing, galleries, and accessories.

Return to your hotel in Chiang Mai between 5:00 PM and 6:00 PM, with free time at your leisure.

After breakfast at your hotel, join a minivan transfer to the pier to board a speedboat for a trip to Phi Phi Island. The boat departs from Chalong Pier at 7:00 AM and heads to Phi Phi Ley Island for swimming and sightseeing at Maya Bay, where the movie The Beach was filmed. You’ll also enjoy snorkeling and feeding colorful fish at Loh Samah Bay, as well as sightseeing at Pileh Cove and Viking Cave.

At 12:00 PM, arrive at Phi Phi Don Island, where you can feed monkeys with banana pieces, followed by lunch on the island at 12:30 PM. At 2:00 PM, swim in crystal-clear waters, snorkel among vibrant coral reefs, and feed fish at Monkey Beach.

At 3:00 PM, arrive at Khai Nok Island for swimming, sunbathing, and feeding fish. The boat departs for Chalong Pierat 4:00 PM, and you’ll be transferred back to your hotel.

    • Visa Fees to Vietnam, Laos, Cambodia, and Thailand: Visa fees for Vietnam, Laos, Cambodia, and Thailand, if applicable, are the responsibility of the traveler. For Vietnam, a passport must be valid for at least 6 months; tourist visas are required for most nationalities, with e-visas costing USD 25 for single entry or USD 50 for multiple entries (up to 90 days), or visa exemptions for some (e.g., 15-45 days for certain nationalities); travelers should verify requirements with the respective embassies.
