  • Visa on Arrival (VOA): Available for 90+ nationalities (e.g., India, China, South Africa). Costs ~$35 (IDR 500,000), valid for 30 days, extendable once for 30 days. Available at airports (e.g., Ngurah Rai, Soekarno-Hatta) and select seaports.
  • E-Visa: Available for tourism, business, or other purposes. Costs $37-$150 (depending on type), valid for 30-60 days, single or multiple entry. Apply at https://evisa.imigrasi.go.id
  • Advance Visa: Required for non-eligible nationalities or long-term stays (e.g., work, study). Apply via an Indonesian embassy; fees vary ($50-$200).

How to Apply

  2. Proceed to the VOA counter before immigration.
  3. Pay ~$35 (IDR 500,000) in cash (USD, IDR, or other major currencies) or card at select locations.
  4. Submit your passport and receive a visa sticker, valid for 30 days.

E-Visa

  1. Visit https://evisa.imigrasi.go.id
  2. Select the appropriate visa type (e.g., B211A for tourism).
  3. Complete the form with personal details, passport info, and travel plans.
  4. Upload a digital passport photo, passport data page, and supporting documents (e.g., return ticket).
  5. Pay $37-$150 via credit/debit card.

Tips for First-Time Travelers

  • Carry a printed or digital return/onward ticket for visa-free or VOA entry; immigration may verify.
  • Ensure your passport is valid for 6+ months with 2 blank pages.
  • Pay VOA fees in IDR or USD to avoid exchange rate issues; ATMs are available at major airports.
  • Apply for e-visas 1-2 weeks in advance to account for processing delays.
  • Use only the official portal (https://evisa.imigrasi.go.id) to avoid scams.
  • VOA extensions require a visit to an immigration office; plan ahead for stays beyond 30 days.
  • Check our travel tips for Indonesia-specific advice.
